Breastfeeding in Style: Button-down Tops

Hey breastfeeding babes, it’s me, Maryam from Milk-Friendly. I am so excited to be a new contributor here at Best for Babes! My goal is to offer you fun, and fresh bits of fashion inspirations that are suitable for breastfeeding. I know that as new moms, we don’t really have the time (with baby in tow) to cruise the malls, find something cute, try it on, sit and think if you can nurse in it, wait in line, pay and make it home in one piece (I’m exhausted just typing). So I hope I can do the work for you, and give you the confidence to keep your style while breastfeeding.

ONE. TWO. THREE. FOUR. FIVE. SIX. SEVEN.

Lately I’ve been inspired by the many high-waisted skirts, shorts and pants hanging around the fashion world (maxi, midi & flouncy skirts along with paperbag shorts are my favorite). I’ve tried to pull the look off a few times, not really thinking about the type of shirt I was wearing- bad idea, Babes! Very quickly I turned into a disheveled mess. There was really no way to gracefully pull my shirt out of my skirt and breastfeed.

Luckily, there is an easy fix to this fashion dilemma: the button-down shirt! I scoured the web, and found some very cute (and affordable!) tops I think you will love. They are so functional when it comes to breastfeeding that I may just go ahead and buy a few in different colors ;)

Racerback Tank, Target $19.99

Jersey Tank, Old Navy $19.94

Henley Tank, Target $14.99

Racerback Henley Tank, Target $19.99

Racerback Henley Tank, Target $19.99

{All of these tanks can easily be worn with one of these two nursing bras}

ONE: $32 TWO: $17.50

{A few completed looks I put together}

ONE $15 TWO $19.99 THREE $19.94 FOUR $17.80 FIVE $14.80 SIX $17.80

So what do you Babes think? Are you going to try to pull it off?  I think you definitely should, because every mom deserves to feel stylish and beautiful :)!

With Loads of Love,

Maryam
